Sponsors
Generous support from our sponsors allows the School of Accounting's Co-op program to provide ongoing links between the school, students and industry. The program not only benefits students by providing them with valuable work experience but also provides academics with the potential for research sites and to forge closer contact with industry.
Industry
Accreditation
The BCom, MCom (Professional Accounting) and the new Master of Professional Accounting are all accredited by Certified Practicing Accountants (CPA) Australia and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA). Please visit our Professional Recognition for Undergraduate Students and Professional Recognition for Postgraduate Students for more information about Industry Accreditation.
Industry
Associations
Both CPA Australia and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia have been most supportive of the School and our teaching and research activities. In 2005 for example, both bodies have provided substantial financial support for the 2005 Global Management Accounting Research Symposium (cohosted with the Copenhagen Business School and Michigan State University). Also, staff from the School have, over many years, served on relevant committees of both professional bodies. At present, Professor Roger Simnett , the Head of School is a member of the Academic Board and the CA Program and Admissions Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.
