Centre for Accounting and Assurance Services Research (CAASR) Centre for Accounting and Assurance Services Research (CAASR) commenced operations in 2001. The Director of the centre is Professor Ken Trotman. The Associate Director is Professor Roger Simnett. Michael Coleman (KPMG) is Chairperson of the Advisory Board which also includes Jan Muysken (PricewaterhouseCoopers) and Tom Pockett (Woolworths). The centre provides a focus for interdisciplinary research, in the areas of accounting, financial management and assurance services. At present the bulk of the Centre's research examines auditing and assurance issues.
